In the second of a series of shows about comic book creators who have collaborated together, Alex Fitch talks to celebrated British cartoonists Tom Gauld and Simone Lia in a conversation recorded at this year’s Spring Comiket at Bishopsgate Institute, London. Tom and Simone talk about their collaborative comics First and Second (republished together as Both by Bloomsbury) and publishing books together under the title Cabanon Press.

To celebrate the triumphant return of MARS ATTACKS! we have superstar artists John McCrea (Hitman, Mars Attacks! comic for IDW) and Jason Atomic (Mars Attacks! trading cards for Topps) in-store for an exclusive signing on July 18th.

Karrie Fransman exhibition
This solo exhibition by comic creator Karrie Fransman‘s (The Guardian, The Times, Random House) plays with the boundaries of the comic medium by fitting comics in weird and wonderful places- dolls houses, jewellery boxes and quilts. With the advance of digital technologies, comics are escaping their paper covers and spilling out into the world, becoming visual and interactive.

Sina Sparrow exhibition at Blush Bar
Small press creator Sina Sparrow (aka Sina Evil) is exhibiting a selection of his recent comics work entitled ‘Girls and boys’, featuring deconstruction of homoerotic superhero art and homages to Donna Summer.
