Hey, just this week, on NPR’s/WXPN’s daily “World Cafe” program, host David Dye mentioned the upcoming Robyn Hitchcock tour, in which RH salutes years of music produced by Joe Boyd. Sounds great.
Hey, I loved the Pink Floyd set, but the “Revivalist Hymns” set really got me.
At the young age of 21 I “hitch-hiked” through west africa in ’81-’82, most of my time in Mali and the Cameron. I remember a number of times listening outside and inside of churches to beautiful voices in syncopated harmony and the kicking of sand and the laughter… Beautiful memories, thanks.
